look: 4 | smell: 3.25 | taste: 4 | feel: 2.5 | overall: 3.25
A-Hazy yellow with a ring of white head around the rim
S-Malt and bread notes on the nose. Hops are not apparent for me on this one.
M-Higher end carbonation, with a dry mouthfeel and watery body
T-Sweet upfront with a subdued malt flavour, and a mellow bitterness to finish
O-Definitely not a NEIPA like I am used to.

Poured from a 473ml can. Canned on 13/Oct./2020. 36 IBU's
Amarillo, Citra & Simcoe Hops
A nice looking pour, a pretty mild nose. As for taste this is a low key Session IPA, easy drinking just a ok IPA.

Look: Very hazy pale yellow. 1 1/2 finger fluffy white head on an aggressive pour. Head dissapates to a nice lacing after 5 minutes.
Smell: Floral with mandarin oranges and pineapple.
Taste: Very pithy. Light grapefruit on the front end, the malt shows up in the middle while the back end is earthy and dank
Feel: Light bodied, playing strongest at the teeth and sides of the mouth.
This beer seemed pretty basic straight from the fridge, but grew a bit more complex and interesting as it warmed up. It earns a solid B

Lost but hopefully found! This one was poured into a tulip from a Feb 473mL can. Pours opaque pineapple gold with decent collar but did not last long. Nose is grapefuit and pineapple with papaya notes with oragne musk as well. Taste is also fruity start with medium body dense carbonation with bitter finish. Not overly complex here but at 4.5 highly drinkable. A fine entry by Nickelbrook.

Pours cloudy yellow with a compact, everlasting head. Mango, papaya, pineapple hops fill the nose. Tropical fruit hops and a light grainy maltiness in the taste. Medium bodied mouthfeel with lots of creamy carbonation. Medium to light bitterness and apricot and pineapple notes in the finish.
A good session IPA but a bit too light in the bitterness department. Still a great session beer. Worth a try.

A bit hazy with little or no head. The taste is fine but weak which is expected in a session ale. BUT it still tastes like an IPA which earns points with me.

473 ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for about $3.25. Apparently lost in orbit is a slightly modified version of Mystery Beer B from last year's taster pack.
Appearance - Very hazy yellowy colored beer with a minimal head. Some lacing linegrs after the fact though.
Smell - Tangerine for sure with some other tropical fruits like guava and papaya. Not a lot else but a modereately intese aroma.
Taste - Tangerine with a little grapefruit and some guava sweetness. Aftertaste is a little bitter.
Mouthfeel - Fairly watery medium carbonation and light body.
Overall - Lacking just a bit of the tropicalness of Mystery B, I actually preferred that over Lost in orbit, however this is still a pretty tasty and sessionable IPA.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Sept 21 2018 and served well chilled.
Pours a muddy apricot-yellow with a turbid, slightly translucent body; one centimetre of loose, frothy white foam lasts nary more than a minute before receding. A very thin collar of foam lingers on, with only a few wisps of film obscuring the surface; no lace, either. A bit plain-looking, but that's no big deal - particularly because its aroma is considerably more appealing. Between notes of orange, grapefruit and peach, as well as some more tropical-leaning hints of mango and passion fruit, it's got a definite fruit salad vibe going on.
Yummy stuff, and super easy to toss back, too - I had to deliberately slow myself down so I didn't run out of beer before I ran out of stuff to write. It has a light, wheaty malt backbone that tastes of grainy sweetness, but the hops are putting in the rest of the work - and doing a fine job at it, too. I'm getting peach, passion fruit and apricot, along with a fair bit of tangerine citrus, but these fruitier notes are displaced by more floral, pithy, weakly resiny hop aspects towards the finish, which features only a gentle bitterness. Light-ish in body, but definitely not thin - the oats help in that respect - with average carbonation levels that gently prickle the palate, imparting a bit of crispness to its texture.
Final Grade: 4.05, an A-. Nickel Brook's Lost in Orbit is a quality ISA, though I don't know if I'd say that it puts a lot of distance between itself and the rest of the growing pack of similar beers sold in this market. I'd at least put it closer to the top of that pack rather than the bottom - you can't go wrong with Simcoe, Citra and Amarillo, a solid triumvirate of hops if there ever was one. I don't drink a whole lot of session ales, but I'll be picking this one up once in a while, when I'm in the mood for something hoppy and refreshing.

A pretty decent session. It looks pale and hazy with a nice thumb of head. Smell is light tropical and grassy hops. Taste and feel is light, good hop presence, fruity, and medium carbonation.
All in all, pretty good. I'd have it again.
